ABOUT EcoAndes Foundation Adventure on Nature is a profit-free organization registered in Pereira (Risaralda, Colombia) since 2003. It gathers the experience and knowledge of its founders, collaborators and volunteers, to offer options in how to utilize your free time based in adventure sports and outdoor activities. Since the very beginning, it has done the job of establishing bonds with the people who inhabit the places where said activities take place, therefore developing a high sense of social and ecological responsibility. This is what the alternative activities of sustainable development are based in. They seek the improvement of the life quality of its participants and the rural communities who inhabit the areas where the tourist and sports activities take place.

OUR MISSION is to generate practical actions that offer people different ways to relate with others and with their natural environment. In order to accomplish this, we organize activities that endorse alternative sport practices and knowing about natural resources and what might harm them, so that our participants may later develop direct actions which have a positive impact on their lives and those of the native people.

What we do is focus our efforts in generating bonds between people and their socio-environmental surrounding. In order to fulfill this, we have developed programmed actions, which complement themselves with projects and specific programs that give their part to the organization’s mission.

::: Outdoor Learning :::
EcoAndes offers educative alternatives on outdoor locations, in order to teach people about the ecosystems where we work in, sports abilities, social and ecological responsibility and academic elements.

::: Community Strengthening :::
EcoAndes seeks to promote the will to act of its participants, so they will in turn act in benefit of their community. The work method is developed with the creation of communication, exchange and formation spaces. We work on aspects such as a sense of belonging and individual faculties to directly impact the environment.

::: Expeditions, Days of Adventure and Tourism :::
We bring our participants close to nature through adventure as they learn about life on the outdoors. Natural Parks and Reservoirs of scenic and conservation importance all take part of our destinations. So do places of historical, cultural natural and/or tourist interest.

::: Events and Outdoor Activities :::
EcoAndes offers assessment in design, production and development of adventure, outdoor and/or sports activities. These projects are very important when it comes to gathering resources to finance our diverse social programs.
